Camps & Classes

Watching amazing theatre not enough for you!?  You can get on stage in our camps or classes so that you can grow as a theatre artist by DOING.  We partner with The Alli Mae Carnes Studio to provide excellent and inclusive training for young performers.  Our top-notch instructors believe theatre is a home for everyone and that the best way to grow is by feeling encouraged and free to be who we are.  Sing, dance, act, and create with us in our one-week, multi-week, or year-round programming.

The Actor's Toolbox - Acting Technique Class

Join actor and director Matthew Hager for a dynamic 10-week acting class designed to strengthen your craft, build confidence, and unlock your creative potential. Through scene work, character development, and practical technique, students will gain hands-on experience and valuable feedback in a supportive, professional environment. This class offers a focused, enriching journey guided by an experienced industry professional.
*Acting experience recommended. Limited spots available.*

Willy Wonka Jr. - Homeschool Production

The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr. is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.
REHEARSALS: Tuesdays, 12:00-3:00 PM, September 2-November 18 (Class on November 11 will instead occur on November 12 in honor of Veterans' Day)
PERFORMANCES: Sunday, November 23, 2:00 PM & 5:00 PM

Band Geeks - Advanced Ensemble Production

With just nine members and dwindling funds, the Cuyahoga High Marching Beavers are close to extinction. When a troubled athlete is relegated to their ranks, Elliot, the tuba-playing band captain, and Laura, his best friend, must find a way to unite the band, embrace their inner geek, and save the Marching Beavers.

AUDITIONS: Initial auditions will be via video submission sent to info@allimaecarnes.com. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show, and a ~1-minute monologue. Virtual audition tapes are due by August 20.
CALLBACKS: In-person at The Ridge (2011 Ridge Rd., Raleigh) August 23, 3:00-5:00 PM
