Camps & Classes

Watching amazing theatre not enough for you!?  You can get on stage in our camps or classes so that you can grow as a theatre artist by DOING.  Our top-notch instructors believe theatre is a home for everyone and that the best way to grow is by feeling encouraged and free to be who we are.  Sing, dance, act, and create with us in our one-week, multi-week, or year-round programming.

DESCRIPTION: From baby bunnies to burly bears, learn the foundations of acting and character development by studying animals. In this camp, students will work on a series of short plays based on Aesop's Fables to breathe life into unique, believable characters. Both physically and mentally engaging, Animal Tales is sure to ignite creativity in all students.

Make a Scene - Generation Improv

DESCRIPTION:  In this six-week class it is OK to make a scene! Using fun theatre games and exercises, students will develop skills used in improvisational theatre. Not only will this class strengthen your funny bone, students will also build their abilities to think on their feet, go with the flow, craft a well-structured story, and work collaboratively and creatively with others. The class culminates in a performance that will use audience suggestions to create a brand-new, original story, complete with random costumes and never-before-seen props. Unleash your imagination with the joy of improv!

Spotlight Homeschool Class & Show:
Alice in Wonderland Jr.

DESCRIPTION:  Calling all creative homeschool students! In this performance-based class, participants will sharpen their musical skills, create unique characters, and make new friends. Participants will work together under the guidance of professional theater educators to produce a full-length musical production of "Alice in Wonderland Jr." at the end of the camp.

DESCRIPTION:  Have a wonderful time in Wonderland in this whacky and whimsical musical production based on the classic Disney cartoon.  Students will build performance skills and friendships as they work to put together a fantastic and fun show about the adventures of a girl named Alice who follows a white rabbit into a world of absurdity, drama, and accidental wisdom.  This class is a partnership between Aggregate Theatre Company and The Alli Mae Carnes Studio.

DESCRIPTION:  Familiar storybook characters tell a new, musical fairytale in this favorite show by the great Stephen Sondheim.  When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.  This class is a partnership between Aggregate Theatre Company and The Alli Mae Carnes Studio.
