Our Commitment

The Alli Mae Carnes Studio LLC is committed to making our websites, programs, performances, and spaces accessible to everyone — including people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and people of all abilities and backgrounds. Accessibility is not a compliance exercise for us. It is a reflection of our core values as a trauma-informed, inclusive performing arts studio.

We work to ensure that allimaecarnes.com and aggregatetheatre.com are accessible to the widest possible audience, consistent with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Web Accessibility Standards

We aim for our Sites to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means we work toward:

Perceivable content — information presented in ways users can perceive, including text alternatives for non-text content and sufficient color contrast for readability;
Operable navigation — site functionality that can be used with a keyboard alone and is navigable by screen reader and assistive technology users;
Understandable information — content written in plain language and presented consistently; and
Robust compatibility — content that works reliably with current and future assistive technologies.

Our Sites are built on Squarespace (allimaecarnes.com) and Wix (aggregatetheatre.com). Both platforms provide accessibility features in their core frameworks. We recognize that platform-level constraints may affect our ability to control every aspect of accessibility on these hosted platforms.

Known Limitations

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of both Sites. Known areas where we are working to improve:

Some older images on the Sites may not have complete alternative text descriptions. We are reviewing and updating image alt text.
Embedded Instagram feed content on allimaecarnes.com is generated by a third-party platform and may not be fully accessible to all users.
Some PDF documents linked from the Sites may not be fully screen-reader accessible. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us.
The scholarship application Google Forms linked from allimaecarnes.com are hosted on a third-party platform. If you experience accessibility barriers with those forms, please contact us for an alternative submission method.

In-Person Accessibility

We are committed to creating accessible in-person programming environments as well. Our commitment includes:

Performances. We offer and are working to expand accessible performance options, including ASL-interpreted performances, sensory-friendly performances, and low-cost community nights. Upcoming accessible performances are noted in individual production listings on the Sites. If you have a specific accessibility need for an upcoming performance, please contact us in advance at admin@allimaecarnes.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Studio facility. Our studio facility at 3210 Fairhill Drive, Raleigh, NC 27612, strives to maintain accessible entrances, pathways, and restrooms. If you have specific accessibility questions about visiting our facility, please contact us before your visit.

Programs. We offer adaptive and trauma-informed instruction in our private lessons and group programs. If your child or student has specific accessibility needs that we should know about to provide appropriate support, please note them on the program registration form or contact us directly.

Please describe the specific barrier or accommodation you are requesting. We aim to respond to all accessibility requests within five business days and to resolve issues within a reasonable time.

Our Sites contain embedded content and links to third-party platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Google Forms. We do not control the accessibility of third-party platforms. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to an ongoing process of accessibility improvement. We periodically review our Sites for accessibility issues and work to address identified barriers. As our programs and web presence grow, we will continue to invest in accessibility as a core organizational priority.
